PROCEDURE FOR
APPLYING FOR APPRENTICESHIP:
(a) Please down load the bio-data form from VSP Web Portal and print the same. The bio-data
form is to be filled and latest pass port size photograph is to be pasted.
(b) The following documents are to be enclosed to the bio-data form:
(i) You have to register your name in the Web Portal by logging in to
www.apprenticeship.gov.in and take print out of “Apprentice Profile” and “Registration
Form” are to be enclosed.
(ii) Self attested zerox copy SSC/Matric/X Std. certificate.
(iii) Self attested zerox copy ITI (NCVT) Consolidated Statement of Marks / Provisional
National Trade Certificate.
(iv) Self attested zerox copy of latest caste certificate obtained from Competent Authority if
you belong to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer).
(v) Self attested zerox copy of latest certificate issued by medical board by any
Govt .Hospital for Physically challenged candidates.
(vi) Ex-Servicemen have to enclose relevant copies of certificates.
(vii) In case of displaced person from Visakhapatnam Steel Plant site, self attested zerox
copy of ‘R’ card and Employment Card on your name are to be enclosed.
(viii) Self attested zerox copy of Aadhaar Card.
ix) Self addressed Rs 10/- stamped envelope ( 22cm x 10 cm )
(c) Bio-data form with all documents as mentioned above are to be submitted in person at VSP
Counter, Govt. ITI(Old), Kancharapalem, Visakhapatnam on 14th, 15th and 16th February 2019
from 9.30 AM to 4.30 PM.
Selection Procedure :
Based on Written Test followed by Interview.
(i) Shortlisted Candidates will be required to appear
for the Written Test which would be conducted at Technical Training Institute(TTI), VSP in the
second week of March 2019 on Objective type based on Mathematics, General Science and
General Knowledge.
ii) Shortlisted Candidates in Written Test will be called for interview
(intimation by SMS/e-mail).
iii) The interview will be based on Technical knowledge Skills of the
candidates in respective trade.
iv) The Mobile Number and e-mail ID given in the Bio-data form
must be valid for six months.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2019:
The eligible candidates desirous to apply for
the post of MT(Tech) in RINL are required to appear for GATE-2019 in the relevant discipline. The

Candidates have to qualify in the GATE-2019 examination. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their
performance in GATE-2019 will be shortlisted to appear for Personal Interview (which may be held at
short notice). Please visit the RINL website from time to time for information on the same.
The candidates who are qualified in Personal Interview shall only be considered for final selection
process. Final merit list will be prepared based on GATE-2019 score and scores obtained by the
candidates in Personal Interview. Merit list will be prepared discipline-wise and category-wise.
TRAINING & PROBATION:
Candidates selected as Management Trainees will be placed on training for one year. After successful
completion of training, the candidates shall be placed under probation for one more year.
Steps for Applying:
Candidates may apply to RINL after receiving GATE Admit Card
STEP 1: Log on to www.vizagsteel.com and click on the link “Careers”
STEP 2: Read CAREFULLY all the instructions given on the website.
STEP 3: Have the following readily available:
a) e-mail ID (which must be valid for minimum of next Twelve Months)
b) Latest passport size photograph in digital format (.jpg file of 30 KB size) and digital format
of the signature (.jpg file of 30 KB size) for uploading with the application form. The
recommended dimensions of the passport photograph are 150(W) X 200(H) pixels. The
recommended dimensions of digital format of the signature is 150(W) X 50(H) pixels
c) GATE-2019 Application Number & GATE-2019 Enrolment Number
STEP 4: Registration
a) Enter GATE-2019 Application Number, Enrolment Number and the basic details such as
Name, Category, PwD status, date of birth, email id and upload recent passport size
photograph and signature etc. on submitting the basic details.
b) Click on second stage Online registration and enter personal details, qualification and
experience details and click SUBMIT
c) Application fee shall be paid through Payment Gateway by using Debit Card / Credit Card /
Internet Banking. Candidates, who need not pay application fee may download the
registration slip after entering all the details.
d) After making payment, download the computer generated Registration Slip with unique
registration number, photograph, signature and other essential details. Take a print of the
Registration Slip to be produced at the time of Personal Interview.
e) Make sure that the details entered in the Online application shall be the same as that entered
in GATE-2019 registration. Candidates must ensure that they enter correct GATE-2019
application number and roll number. The GATE-2019 scores will be retrieved based on the
Application number and Enrolment Number provided. In case of mismatch in Application
number and Enrolment Number provided by the candidate, then it will not be possible to
retrieve the data of the candidate and his/her application will stand rejected.
10.3. All correspondence with the candidates shall be done through e-mail / announcement on the
website only. Information regarding interview call letters shall be provided through e-mail / to be
downloaded from website. For this purpose, candidates are advised to visit our website
www.vizagsteel.com regularly for further instructions. Company will not be responsible for
any loss of e-mail sent, due to invalid / wrong email ID provided by the candidate or due to other
reasons.
(Please retain five identical photographs to be used at the time of Interview. Change of
photograph at the time of Interview shall render the applicant ineligible).
